MENS CENTRAL PRISON, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA is finished and open to volunteer prisoners who are in need of extreme control, discipline and heavy restraint at all times. They can get locked up from one hour up to as long as six months if they have the guts. This is a real place. I now live in it as an inmate myself with a life sentence with no possible parole … the life of my dreams. Once inside the intake room, you are locked in, and escape is impossible. But then you go into the cell and get locked and shackled inside and you find yourself under three levels of security under heavy guard. Total overkill on the high security. Escape is not an option here. This was built with the idea of making a very secure and oppressive prison.
The walls and ceilings are thousands of pounds of thick solid metal, and the heavy doors are barred. The floor is concrete. We have three cells and six cages.
